Process Facilities Debottlenecking, Modification, Repairs & Upgrade

Due to continued increment in the number of oil discoveries in both onshore and offshore environments combined with steady increase in petroleum consumption, clients are steadily faced with either modification/debottlenecking of existing facility or the prospect of building a new facility. The task of building a new facility can be daunting, challenging, and expensive and may not be the best option. Examining and debottlenecking the existing facility is usually an option, as a plant can be modified quickly, than a grass root plant build and start-up.

Our experienced team of experts can carry out a feasibility study and FEED on your asset to help you make the decision. Our typical approach will include, flow assurance and process modeling with state of the art software’s to better understand your facility and to predict the behavior of process fluid flowing through them, while helping you decide equipment change out and upgrade. We work to help you choose the best option to enable you to maximize your return on investment.

Our capabilities and strengths in this area have been fully recognized by all the major contractors who have engaged and continue to engage our expertise for the total services of modification and refurbishment work. This continues to be our major forte. Captive construction manpower employed by PIECURVE acts as a nucleus on which additional manpower is built, depending upon workload. The Construction Division is headed by a Project Manager (Construction) and assisted by a team of field engineers, workforce of various specialized trades like welders, fitters, grinders, cutters, scaffolders, riggers, mechanics, electricians, technicians, crane operators, logistic personnel etc.

We cover a wide range of fabrication and construction activities regardless of the project size. With our affiliate partners located in the Niger Delta area and Lagos, we can design, fabricate / construct, test, hook-up and commission oil and gas production assets include sub-surface facilities.

PIECURVE’s special area of work and interest has been in the execution and management of major modifications and refurbishment of existing facilities on onshore and offshore well platforms and process complexes. With its deep involvement in this work over the last decade and a half, PIECURVE has compiled well documented as-built data and drawings for almost all the major Indian offshore platforms and projects with which it has been associated along with other major International Contractors. This provides the inherent strength and advantage to PIECURVE in swiftly executing all modification projects.

Detailed Design

Our attention to detail is highly focused at every stage. State of the art CAD technology can be used to optimize detail design performance. We can partner with preferred contractors to realize project benefits that incorporate additional design interfaces such as piping, pipeline, civil/structural, electrical and instrumentation. Once the detail design is agreed, PIECURVE will formulate an accurate cost implementation programme as well as develop accurate inventory documentation for procurement. Our ability to openly discuss the detailed constructability of projects means, in many cases, it is possible for initial work to commence whilst detailed design and procurement activities are still under final review.

Welding Processes

PieCurve in conjunction with our partners operates the following welding processes, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) otherwise known as TIG welding, Enclosed Head Orbital, M.I.G (GMAW) & M.M.A (SMAW) welding processes to meet stringent requirements of the various process industries. Our welders are subject to regular examinations and are fully certified, and approved by the leading qualified companies. All fabrication welding and installation conforms to all relevant BS, EN, AWS & ASME standards where these are subjected to radiographic or other non-destructive inspection.

Pressure Vessels, Tanks & Non-Pressure Vessels

PieCurve has proven competency for the fabrication, supply and installation of pressure vessels, tanks and non-pressure vessels and pipework, depending on project type size and specification in accordance with British, European & American standards, for example ASME Code, Section VIII, Division I & Division II, ASME-B31-3 and ASME-BPE. We work with a range of materials including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Nickel, Titanium, Chrome Molybdenum, Incolloy, Monel, UPVC and ABS.

Structural Fabrication and Assembly

PIECURVE through strategic alliances has fully equipped Workshop with Manufacturing Facilities undertaking extensive fabrication work both at Onshore in its workshop and at Offshore while executing installation works. These workshops are equipped with the most modern construction equipments, machines and fabrication facilities  e.g. Power, Crane Facility, etc. to provide up to 30T per month of Steel fabrication and several inch diameter of Piping, Pipe Welding of various material such as Cu-Ni, Incolloy, NACE, etc.
